AN EVENING AT THE 'MEENA CLUB'

Marakada is a beautiful extension of Mangalore city on the way to the Bajpe Airport. Surrounded by  Phalguni river and with green valleys, it is Bhoomigeetha (Song of the Earth) in the real sense. The place is gifted with bountiful of nature and fascinating sceneries.

Recently, in Marakada Higher Primary School, a rare and unique program was arranged by the Meena Club for the benifit of local ladies and students of the vicinity. The program was on the occasion of International Women's Day. My wife, K.Shailakumari had participated as chief guest and spoke on the importance of women education and self-reliance. She gave-away prizes to the students who secured first places in the academic activities. 

Students and the local people gathered in highest number and made the event a grand sucsess.They participated in the program enthusiastically. Cultural activities by the students were appreciated by the gathering.
